These included learning how to read maps, marching, and parading. Finally when boys fell into the catagory of 14-18, they actually started preparing to fight. They were taught how to shoot guns and think fast on their feet. And on March 13, 1942 Hitler ordered three new military camps to provide even more militray training for all boys age 16-18.

IDEOLOGY STUDIES

Learning the Nazi views were essential for Hitler Youth members. Boys took a oath at the age of ten: "In the presence of this blood-banner which represents our Fuhrer I swear to devote all my energies, and my strength to the Savior of our Country, Adolf Hitler. I am willing and ready to give up my life for him, so help me God. One People, one Reich, one Fuhrer." Hitler was like their God and children spent lots of time learning Nazi principles, like the superiority of the Aryans and the inferiority of the Jews.
